Moonshine Mountain, Horizontal Original Acrylic Painting
“The moon hovers over the buttes as shadows dance across the desert floor.
The wind howls, the bushes rattle, the leaves dance, as a single saguaro stands in solitude,
as it has for the past 100 years.
The mountain rests, and peace falls over the scattered terrain.”
This painting came to me during my daily journaling practice. At this time I had wanted to transition my abstract patterns into landscapes but had no clue how. As I sat down to write it came to me clear as day. I knew exactly what to do, I grabbed a sketch pad and a pencil and drew it out, purely driven by intuition . This painting slowly came to be. An image of the buttes with the full moon hovering over served as my initial inspiration image but as the painting progressed I allowed it to transform into its own magical place.

This is a horizontal original acrylic landscape painting on canvas.
30 x 40 x 2.5 inches with a hand crafted pine frame stained in oak.
This painting will include my initials on the front of the artwork. My full signature, the title, and the year of completion will be written on the back of the canvas.
The painting has hanging hardware attached to the back streamlining the hanging process. All you’ll need are nails and a hammer.
